A Fulbright Grant recipient and print /broadcast journalist, Wilson made history as one of the first American women to found an international public relations firm in the new South Africa. As a TV news reporter from Los Angeles, she covered the first democratic elections, lived in Johannesburg for several years during Nelson Mandela’s presidency, and operated Wilson Global Communications with a staff speaking 11 official languages.
